Simple Tutorial

  1. Connect UniSat wallet with taproot testnet account (tb1)

  2. Get $TSNT BRC-20 from the faucet

  3. Transfer-inscribe your $TSNT in the UniSat wallet itself

  4. Borrow 0.01 tBTC by depositing your $TSNT inscription

Note: You may need to wait for the Bitcoin testnet tx to confirm before each step.

Detailed Tutorial

  1. Install UniSat Wallet - https://unisat.io/download

  2. Create a taproot bitcoin address. (tb1)

  3. Check your UniSat wallet, SETTINGS -> NETWORK = TESTNET

  4. Open the Arcus app. app.arcusbtc.com

  5. Connect your UniSat wallet with a taproot bitcoin address. (tb1)

  1. Enter the faucet page.

  1. Click the TSNT Faucet button and Get 100 TSNT tokens. This may take around 10-20 seconds.

  1. Wait for the TSNT inscription to be confirmed, track via https://mempool.space/testnet/.

  1. Next is to make your $TSNT 'transferable'. Go to the UniSat wallet, click $TSNT in BRC-20 tab.

  2. Click Transfer button, Click Inscribe Transfer.

  1. Enter Amount of $TSNT to make 'transferable', and Sign the tx.

  2. Go back to the dashboard and click Borrow.

  3. Select your TSNT inscription(s) to deposit and borrow tBTC.

  1. This tx will take one testnet Bitcoin block to process. You can confirm your tx is pending by clicking your address in the navbar to copy to clipboard. Than you can paste your address on https://mempool.space/testnet/ to track.

  1. Congratulations! You now have 0.01 tBTC! This amount is enough for most bitcoin defi testnet tx. If you need more, just come back and visit every (1) hour to claim more.

  2. Repay your tBTC loan at anytime to unlock your TSNT collateral.

But wait... what if I don't need tBTC? Answer.

Stake TSNT

  1. Click the TSNT Faucet button and click 'Get 100 TSNT tokens.'

  2. Wait for the TSNT inscription to be confirmed, track via https://mempool.space/testnet/.

  3. Transfer-inscribe in UniSat wallet to make your $TSNT 'transferable' (see step 9 above)

  4. Once TSNT is 'transferable', go back to the dashboard and click Supply.

  5. Supply your TSNT to the ARCUS Lending Pool to gain potential future incentives.

  6. Withdraw TSNT from the lending pool at anytime.

  7. OR Supply tBTC. Enter any amount of tBTC to support the Bitcoin community and keep this faucet free and accessible for all!

  8. Withdraw tBTC from the lending pool at anytime.

How do I get tBTC?

Connect a Unisat wallet with a taproot address.

Request TSNT from the faucet. You will receive 100 TSNT, transferrable in your wallet.

Supply the TSNT collateral to the tBTC Lending Pool and borrow 0.001 tBTC.

What do I do with TSNT BRC-20?

Use your TSNT to access the tBTC faucet for free!

Stake your TSNT in the ARCUS Lending Pool for potential future rewards.

What do I do with tBTC?

tBTC is used for tesing other protocols' testnet platforms enhancing your chances at airdrops or other early community incentives.

tBTC is used for Bitcoin builders to test their products, apps and services.

tBTC can be supplied back to the ARCUS Lending Pool to support the wider Bitcoin community!

How do I make my TSNT transferable?
  1. Go to UniSat wallet, click TSNT in BRC-20 tab.

  2. Click Transfer button,

  3. Click Inscribe Transfer,

  4. Enter Amount to make 'transferable', and now you can borrow 0.01 tBTC per 100 TSNT!

No Inscriptions are showing up under Borrow or Supply!

Please confirm you are using a taproot address and not a native segwit.

Make sure your on Bitcoin Testnet

I borrowed tBTC but I want my TSNT back!

No worries! Repay your debt tBTC debt balance and receive back your TSNT BRC-20.

You may have to go into your Unisat wallet and transfer-inscribe your TSNT again once you pay back your tBTC loan.

My Unisat wallet shows I am still connected to the app?

In order to completely disconnect your wallet from the Arcus app, you can easily open your Unisat wallet. Click on 'Dapp Connected' on the wallet, and remove app.arcusbtc.com.

Don't worry, you can login again at anytime to the app using UniSat wallet.

Why are my transactions not going through?

Please make sure your wallet is of the taproot type.

You will have to wait for the current Bitcoin block to be complete. This may take longer than desired on testnet Bitcoin.

Check https://mempool.space/testnet/address/ and search your address to see when your tx are confirmed.

How long are Bitcoin Testnet blocks?

Between 5-20 minutes or possibly longer.
